Oh my God! it was totally a hack for me to find out why my Visual Studio 2003 Enterprise Architect was not bothering me, i mean was not loading.
It was my PC everything was loaded successfully after running a fresh WinXp installation, and after having installed the VS.Net 2003 I was banging my head to wall, getting a strange message "Dte.olb could not be loaded, please re-run setup and repair your installation". I tried every thing to solve this mystery but my whole day was gone.
The very next day I search through my hard disk and I found it lying under the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MSEnv” folder. I tried on MSDN and found that Dte.olb is the COM object model for EnvDTE namespace and if not installed properly VS.Net never worked.
So registering Dte.olb using regsvr32 will solve the problem, one thing to keep in mind that regsvr32 might not recognize long file names so its better to run regsvr32 directly from the folder where Dte.olb resides.
